Rare
Race Replica
THIS BIKE HAS BEEN SOLD
1986 Ducati F1 “Laguna Seca” 750cc race
replica. Marco Luchinelli replica signature on gas tank. Imported by Pro
Italia, who re-painted red and yellow (apparently for a Cycle World
photo shoot). Significant upgrades from stock F1, including 40mm open
carbs, floating front disks, steel braided lines, custom rear sets. A
true race replica, the bike has no turn signals, but is licensed for
road riding, and has a KPH speedo. The champion bike of its day, this
is a terrific ride, very light and agile, and awe-inspiring for those
who know Italian classics. Or put it on a pedestal as the sculpture it
is. One of the last of the pure Ducati Ducatis, very few of these
replicas were made and imported over three years (Laguna Seca, Monjuich,
Santa Monica), and only a handful are left outside of collections
today. In good shape: new tires, new brake pads, new chain, new fork
seals, frequent oil service, all scheduled checkups. Small ding in tail
pipe (which could use refinishing) and one small bubble under tank pain
Clean title, original owner’s manual,
10,184 miles. Reasonably priced at $10,500. The bike is in Northern
California and can be shipped door-to-door through Bevel Heaven for
$593.
