Excellent condition for this vintage. I’ve owned it since the mid-90’s. It had 9k on it when I purchased it. It has been ridden a few times every year since and properly maintained and stored in the winter (dry conditions, battery removed, gas exchanged with fresh fill of gas & stabilizer/gas drained again in the spring – no rust in the tank.).

The cush drive was modified by the previous owner – a must for these. A few years ago I decided it was time the clean the carbs, so I decided to do it right.  I sent the carbs to Bevel Heaven in CA where the bodies were pronounced in excellent shape and the cards rebuilt. I did not opt for the extra cosmetic restoration, as they already looked good and I wanted them the match the bikes original, 33 year old patina. I then brought the bike up to BCM motorsports in NH where they spent a day installing, balancing and test riding the bike to get it just right. – which it is. Smooth acceleration and perfect idle. The front Brembos where rebuilt a few years ago by AJ’s cycle in Gill, MA (Moto BMW -Guzzi dealer) The last major tune up was 2.5K miles back..

This is a beautiful bike, with no major burrs. It is not a pristine museum piece or trailer queen restoration, but a fine original.  What I see as non-original are: Conti-type mufflers (sound!), I believe the front fender was exchanged for one that was custom painted to match the bike –probably soon after it was purchased. It appears that some extra gold pin striping was applied over certain areas.  Not sure why,  but  I removed some to show the original (narrower) stripe below. The fold out kick-starter tip is missing.  I added the bar end mirrors. There is an area around the filler where the clear coat has peeled.  The neutral light works, but the connection at the case could use one tip re-soldered.

Since I no longer ride as much as I used to, so I have decided to sell it. This is painful,  as the bike is way too much fun to ride - it took me a few years to decide to do this.

I found only two comps:
• A recent ebay auction where one sold for 8K
• There was one on Dallas Craig’s list (w /34K for $8500.00) in March 2012. I talked to the owner while it was listed. It’s not up anymore, but I don’t know if he sold it.

I’m asking……$8000.00  SOLD    SOLD    SOLD    SOLD

If you make arrangements, I may be able to trailer it a short distance to a shipping service (you pay for the shipping).  Regardless, I will be available to work with any shipper who will pickup at my house.
