1974 Ducati 750 Sport  - SOLD
* 17K mile bike *

Here we have a beautiful garage find 750 Sport that's crying out for a sympathetic restoration.

Engine number is 753855 and frame number is 754784, all of which put her as one of the first stage production of 1974, although she must have laid in a showroom unsold somewhere as she wasn't registered for the road until October 1975.

She is British registered, and has been under a cover in the owners garage for over 20 years since he gave up motorcycling.

As far as I can tell (and this is why she'd make such a great project) almost every component is correct!

She has the correct clip-ons, Ceriani forks, Brembo brakes (with the huge bonus of the extra disc and caliper, giving much needed extra stopping power), Marzocchi rear shocks,  32mm Del'Orto carbs with correct grey plastic bellmouths, breath-takingly valuable Aprilia Jod Duplo headlamp unit, Borrani alloy rims, 18” rear +19” front, black chain guard,  Aprilia fuse box (missing lid), clutch lever with choke attached, Veglia speedo and tacho (and the speedo even has the correct reset knob attached), steel tank, right hand silencer is the original Conti (the word Conti not inside a circle, welded bottom seam), left hand silencer is a chromed pattern period replacement.

She came to me with a rare dual seat but if you prefer the single seat, I have one, so I have taken photos with both seats to help you decide, but you have to choose one or the other, not both!

The engine turns over fine and considering how long it has stood still, it has very good compression. The carb slides are stuck in the bodies (unless the throttle cables are seized solid), but if somebody really wants me to, I'll clean up the carbs etc and get her running and video it.

It is so unusual to find a Sport that is more or less completely original and unmolested- and this makes her restoration so much easier as you have no scarce parts to track down (and pay a fortune for!).

You would be welcome to send anybody to inspect her, or come for a nice little holiday in Italy yourself and help me construct her crate!

I live in Italy and that's where she is (in my garage!).

Asking $XXXXX USD.     This bike has been sold, deposit accepted etc...............  It's gone

I would need a 10% deposit down then, if you like (at your expense) I will build a bullet proof professional-standard shipping crate, custom made for her.

Then, when you see the pics of her in the crate before I seal up the lid, I would need the balance before releasing her to the shipping company of your choice.

If you need my post code for getting a shipping quote, it is 06012 (Italy)

I would prefer to be contacted by email [email protected] but if you prefer you can phone me on:

0039 075 850 4349  (home phone)
