1972 Ducati 750GT

 SOLD

P1010651 P1010652

I originally purchased the bike in this condition looking to fix her up. Unfortunately I do not have the funds to do so since my career has taken a different path. When I purchased the bike from its second owner it started on the second kick and It sounded so amazing too!  The original owner had purchased the bike in Italy (so I was told)

I have a clean title in hand ready for the next owner. The frame is straight and so are the wheels.

I also am including a café/solo seat and a shop manual.

Mileage is 6959

Some of the issues that need to be addressed;

  1. The fuel tank is fiberglass (original) and it leaks. Beside with today's ethanol based fuel you will need a steel tank anyways.

  2. Both of the mufflers have some rash on them from the previous owner, apparently  he dropped the bike on both sides when trying to learn how to ride it.

  3. The front brakes are Lockheed’s, as far as I am aware upgrading with Brembos is the way to go. I am not sure if parts are available for the Lockheeds.

  4. The carburetors are Amal’s.  Like I said it started right up when I purchased it. Prior to storage I flushed all the fuel out of the carbs and fogged them to try and preserve them while in storage. The bike has been kept in a climate controlled storage unit for several years.

  5. The meter panel/bezel for the instrument cluster is also cracked.

  6. Two of the turn signal lenses are broken/missing.

It kills me to have to let her go but I just don’t have the money or time to restore her. I hope the new owner will treat her well and make her pretty again.
