1980 Ducati 900 Super Sport
-
SOLD
You are looking at a 1980 Ducati 900 SS with 24K miles.
Paint was redone approximately 10 years ago and looks good. Carbs
rebuilt including everything soft inside + slides, needles and
atomizers, new tires and tubes. I bought the bike awhile ago
from a local friend who has had it more than 30 years, enjoying
the ride on a regular basis throughout his time with it.
It has Dell'Orto PHF32AS/AD carbs with chokes. CONTI mufflers
are the originals with the welded seam along the bottom, no
circle around the CONTI logo and are in pretty good condition
but for a couple very small dings.
I recently did the following jobs to get it road worthy again:
-
New AVON AM26 tires front & back with new tubes
-
New 20:10 speedometer drive with stainless steel washer
-
New front SKF wheel bearings
-
New stainless steel center stand bolt and nut kit
-
New AGM sealed battery, battery strap and tray
-
New bodywork fasteners, washers and nuts
-
De-rust inside of tank
-
New fuel taps, Cavis Benz hose and satin hose clips
-
New Athena oil filter and filter cover seal and crush washer
-
New MOTUL 3000 20w50 motor oil
-
New Gustaffson windscreen and black plastic screw/washer/nut
kit
-
New rear gas tank hold strap
-
New Verlicchi grips
-
New rubber trim around seat
-
New K&N air filters on carbs
-
Repair and install all turn signals, they now work
-
Repair horn, it now works
-
Repair generator wires at regulator
-
Misc adjustments and repairs/fixes and misc fastener
replacement.
The work described above I personally did
to get it road worthy again and
to find someone who would buy it for a reasonable amount. Not to rebuild everything
to make it perfect. The headlight, tail light, horn and turn signals now
work. The motor has very good compression and kicks over without
any binding or weird noises. The transmission shifts through the
gears easily. The brakes work, the inside of the carbs are
clean - everything is ready to go.
This bike looks very nice - the motor is
clean, covers appropriately polished, paintwork on body panels
are shiny and present well.

clear California title & registration in my name, paid up
through MAY 2019. I have described the bike to the best of my
knowledge. There is absolutely no warranty
expressed or implied - its a 37 year old motorcycle and there is
bound to be other things discovered over time once the bike
starts to be ridden, like all bevel drives...
NOTE: Concord is a 45min
drive from SFO airport or 1.25 hour BART ride from SFO. If you
choose to fly in to have a look, Steve can pick you up from the

you can fly back out easily. After we work out a deal on the
bike, Steve can arrange shipping for you.
