1974 DUCATI 750 GT (titled as a '75)
SOLD

This is a 1974 Ducati
750GT. Original paint, lead seal on motor, I purchased it from the
original owner. There are
only 12,098 miles on this well preserved bike. It
starts right up and runs very well, pulls hard and the brakes stop it
quickly. This bike is in great shape.
I purchased it from the
original owner back in 2018 then sold it on. The gentleman I sold it to
didn't do anything to the bike since buying it, nor did he change the
title. It is still in my name. I bought it back 3 weeks ago and went
through it to make sure it all works so that i can sell it on to someone
ready for a beautiful mostly original roundcase Ducati. It has Conti
mufflers & the original points. Dell'Orto carbs, Marzocchi forks and
Brembo brakes. Wheels were changed out to DID by the original owner as
the original Radialli rims rusted out long ago.
Details:
Work accomplished in the last few weeks includes;
Fully rebuild Dellorto carbs & Brembo brakes, replace labyrinth
breather, new intake manifold insulators, new AGM battery,
clean/lube speed-o drive, replace clutch cable, lube/adjust rear
brake cable, replace exhaust gaskets, replace footpeg and
shifter rubbers, replace Verlicchi grips, swap out the clipons
that were on it back to handlebars, install original headlight
bracket set. Verlicchi bar end plugs, handlebar is a new
Flanders SUPERBIKE bar. Also replaced side cover grommets. Carbs are dialed in and fully synchronized so it
starts 1st or 2nd kick and idles well. It runs well, brakes work
well, all lights, horn & turn signals work etc. I treated the
steel gas tank so the metal is shiny silver (no rust) and
installed new fuel taps, Cavis Benz hose and spring clamps. New
K&N filters for a final touch.
Dell'Orto carb work done: R&R everything soft inside, R&R
slides, R&R jets
Brembo brake work done: R&R pistons, seals, pads, bleeder covers on
caliper, new seal kit on master cylinder.
This was a re-commission project, not a
restoration ie I wanted to make sure it ran and things worked as
expected. There will be other things that will/might need
attention ie; R&R tires, R&R misc seals &/or gaskets, rebuild
forks, etc. The dash has a crack, there are misc chips in the
paint, there is a dent in the tank near the left badge... That said, the bike is now road worthy and
I went out on a brief ride to go through the gears, test brakes
etc. The bike is currently registered
/ titled in
the owner of Bevel Heaven's name here in California so there
will be zero surprises doing a title transfer & registering or
for international buyers, it is ready for export.
