1973 Ducati 750 GT - 13,021 Miles, Original Owner Since New,
Motor Never Apart
This is not a perfect trailer queen, it's an honest,
original-owner bike that has been enjoyed since new. Purchased
new in Iowa in 1973 by the original owner and owned by him
since, showing only 13,021 original miles.
This 750 GT was bought to be ridden, not hidden away. It was
trailered to Alaska in 1989 where it spent time in dry storage,
then brought back to Iowa in 2001 where it has been since. Other
than two sensible service replacements, the bike is original and
the motor has never been torn apart - a round case, numbers
matching, never apart in 52 years bevel drive DUCATI with just
over 13k miles. The original fiberglass tank developed a leak,
(as they all did), and was replaced with a genuine Ducati steel
tank, and the front brake master cylinder was replaced with an
aftermarket unit for safety and reliability. Beyond that, it's
as it left Bologna. It shows honest age and use, with patina in
the paint and small marks from a lifetime of being appreciated,
but it was never abused and never laid down. It can be ridden
today and only needs a few gaskets & seals replaced due to it
sitting. Typical seeps for a 50-year-old bevel.

It starts, runs, and shifts as it should, and is ready for its
next caretaker to continue its story. It is currently
registered and title in hand.
