On Friday, August 16th, 2002, the Concorso Italiano circus decended upon the Quail Lodge Restort & Golf Club in Carmel Valley near Monterey, California.  The event featured Italian Racing Cars, Stars & Motorcycles.  Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Alpha Romeo, Moto Guzzi, Parilla, Gilera, Ducati....

The weekend is amazing as the Monterey Historic races are going on at Laguna Seca and of course, the Pebble Beach Concours D'elegance are both attracting huge crouds as well as interesting vehicles into the area.

Bevelheads Steve Allen, John Goldman, Hans Mellburg, Jo Whimmer & Alan Chalk were in attendance along with Ted Henry, Guy Webster, Dave Kosta, Michael Harper-Smith, John McCoy and racers Carol Shelby, Phil Reed and Frank Scurria..... and about 5,000 other folks!  The parking lot was almost as interesting as walking around on the greens, so much exotica, so little time.

This is an annual event, details at http://www.concorso.com so make your plans now for next year.
