1977 Ducati 900SS For Sale
Engine # 086847
Frame #086992

I “rescued” this bike from the static collection of a well known collector 2 and one half years ago.  The bike was in beautiful cosmetic condition and had been recently repainted by Scott Moore of Fast Finish Painting.  The paint is spectacular.

The bike has been re-commissioned to be ridden which included:

·        Installed Sasche Electronic ignition and Dyna S Coils/wires

·        Rebuilt carbs and installed new intake manifold insulators

·        Valve adjustment (table of before and after values provided plus old shims) completed by experienced classic Ducati mechanic.

·        New Galfer “Green”  brake pads front and rear

·        Bevel Heaven Case Saver

·        Brancato extended clutch lever and oil filter magnet platform

·        Adjustable Tommaselli clip-ons (and new/longer brake line and clutch cable)

·        LED instrument lights for ignition, high and low beams (much brighter)

·        Avon RoadRider tires and new battery

Everything on the bike works.   The bike now runs strong and still looks terrific.  The Sasche ignition system made a huge difference in the ease of starting (first or second kick) and stable idle.

I have ridden the bike about 1,000 miles and it now shows just under 10,000 miles on the odometer.  I do not have historical records to confirm the mileage as being accurate.

Parts that come with the bike include:

·        Original factory air boxes and filters as well as velocity stacks

·        Original silencers (not in good shape)

·        Original (short) clutch lever

·        Original Ducati Electronica ignition system

·        Original clip-ons (along with shorter brake line and clutch cable)

·        Original instrument lights

Love the bike, but I find the riding position too aggressive for my aging joints and I can’t bear to just look at it.
