Keep your chain off of your case with this part.  See the gap under the chain above?  The chain will not rub on your case or bind and your swingarm will still function in a completely normal fashion.

I did some research and found that the DUCATI factory didn't feel the need to make any provision to keep the chain from rubbing on the case of your 860 GT/GTE/GTS & 900 GTS models.  Most riders have replaced shocks with longer than stock units and exchanged countershaft sprockets to get more teeth.  These mods seem make this problem worse but now you can keep your chain off your case no problem.

I have made several sets to offer up to other B'heads.  I made these "Buffers" out of black Delrin which is highly resistant to wear, oil, solvents etc so it should last a REAL long time.  I also am including all Stainless Steel mounting hardware including an allen head bolt, washer and nylock nut.  This kit is round so as it wears, you can rotate it so it lasts longer than the DARMAH kit.

Instructions for the hole location on the 860 GT/GTE/GTS & 900 GTS frame are included for EZ installation.  You can drill one 1/4" hole and the included 6mm bolt slips through or you can drill and tap for the included 6mm bolt if you have the tools.  The above picture shows the layout of the hole for an example.  All dimensions are are included on the instruction page

This Kit is more " universal" so it might be applicable for other models if you can attach it to the frame plate.  As I gain access to other models, specific kits will become available.
